Trailer 3: Still No Date — Here's What We Actually Know

July 2026 · Status Watch

The internet is holding its breath for the third GTA 6 trailer — and as of late July 2026, Rockstar Games has not announced one. The rumored World Cup-final timing came and went without a drop, which leaves the calendar pointing at one date. No date, no teaser, no confirmation it's next. Here's what is actually confirmed, because the confirmed signals are interesting enough on their own.

The confirmed signals

First: Take-Two's CEO said on the company's February earnings call that GTA 6's full marketing campaign begins in the summer of 2026. We are in that window now. Second: the next fixed date on the corporate calendar is Take-Two's earnings report on August 7, 2026 — scheduled for 8am ET, before US markets open, rather than the company's usual after-close slot. The schedule itself is confirmed; what it means is anyone's guess, and we won't pretend otherwise. Third: pre-orders opened June 25 without a new trailer attached, which surprised many and suggests the campaign's next beat is still being held.

The historical clock is ticking loudly

Two more confirmed data points frame the wait. It has now been over 13 months since Trailer 2 — the longest gap between trailers in the campaign. And Rockstar's own playbook says a third trailer comes: Red Dead Redemption 2's third trailer arrived on May 2, 2018, roughly six months before that game's launch. GTA 6 is inside that same six-month window now. By Rockstar's own historical rhythm, the next beat is due.

What we won't do

Plenty of sites will tell you a date. Nobody outside Rockstar knows one. When Trailer 3 is announced, it will appear here and on our Trailers page — embedded from Rockstar's official channel — within minutes of being official. Until then: the countdown runs, and the only dates that matter are the ones Rockstar has actually said out loud.
