The reveal that broke the internet: Rockstar published Trailer 1 in December 2023 — moving the release up after a leak — and it opens with Lucia in a Leonida penitentiary, the first the world ever saw of the game. Set to Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road," it broke YouTube records including the most-viewed game reveal in 24 hours, passing 90 million views in its first day.
Released May 6, 2025, Trailer 2 introduced the story in Rockstar's own words: "Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America…" It showed the pair working together across Leonida, set to multiple licensed tracks.
Rockstar has not announced a third trailer or a date. Take-Two's CEO confirmed the marketing campaign begins in summer 2026, and the next fixed date on the calendar is the company's August 7 earnings report. The moment it's official, it will be embedded right here — no rumors in the meantime.
