"The sun-and-fun capital of America — glamour, hustle, and a little greed packed into one skyline." — after Rockstar's official region description
Vice City is the largest and most famous of the six confirmed regions of Leonida, GTA 6's fictional state. It's Rockstar's modern-day take on Miami: pastel Art Deco towers, white-sand beaches, neon-soaked nights, and an economy that runs on glamour, hustle, and greed. Rockstar's own description calls it the sun-and-fun capital of America.
GTA 6 marks the series' first return to Vice City since 2002's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City — but this is not the 1980s throwback fans knew. It's a fully modern city, rebuilt from the ground up for the new game, and Rockstar has described the world of GTA 6 as the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.
Rockstar's official synopsis opens with the city's name — "Vice City, USA." — and the trailers center Jason and Lucia's story there as it escalates from small scores into a conspiracy spanning the whole state. Officially confirmed characters tied to the city include Boobie Ike, a real-estate and nightlife mogul, and Dre'Quan Priest, the music entrepreneur behind the Only Raw Records label.
Vice City is one of six confirmed regions, alongside the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. Tap any region on the interactive map on our main page for its confirmed facts.
