It's real: GTA 6 pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 across the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store, and retail. Here is everything confirmed about actually buying the game.
Standard Edition runs $79.99 — the complete game on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and adds five exclusive in-game stores (a lowrider mod shop, an off-road mod shop, a hair salon, a clothing store, and a 50-design tattoo parlor), a signature vehicle with matching engraved weapons, and a restoration mission chain. Rockstar confirmed Ultimate's extras unlock chapter by chapter as the story progresses, and that Standard buyers can upgrade to Ultimate after launch — nobody gets locked out.
Every pre-order placed before November 20 includes the Vintage Vice City Pack: retro 1980s outfits for Jason and Lucia, a '55 Vapid Stanier sedan, and a tropical throwback weapon skin. Digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+ and can pre-load the game starting November 12.
Straight from PlayStation's official product page: the free month of GTA+ must be claimed through the GTA+ product page after pre-ordering, the offer must be claimed by March 31, 2027 — and the month automatically rolls into a paid monthly subscription unless you cancel before the renewal date in your account's subscription settings. Free month: real. Auto-renewal: also real. Set a reminder.
Physical copies ship as a download code inside the box — there is no disc. Whatever you think of that, it's confirmed, so plan your storage accordingly. Full details live in our Editions & Pre-Order Guide.
