"No Further Delays Expected": Take-Two Puts November 19 in an SEC Filing

July 21, 2026 · Confirmed · SEC Filing

The delay-rumor era just took its biggest hit yet. In a shareholder letter dated July 17, 2026 — included in a preliminary proxy statement filed with the SEC — Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed GTA 6's November 19 release, writing that the fiscal year built around it could mark a "major inflection point" for the company. In a separate interview with Variety, Zelnick was even plainer: no further delays are expected.

Why an SEC filing outranks every rumor

Tweets are free, and leakers are wrong for a living. A proxy statement is a legal document filed with financial regulators and read by shareholders who can sue. Executives do not casually put dates in those. After two delays trained fans to flinch, this is the least-flinchy signal a company can produce: the date is now embedded in investor-facing governance paperwork, on top of already anchoring Take-Two's record $8–8.2 billion revenue forecast.

The pattern of 2026

Zelnick has now spent the entire year — the January statements, the February 3 and May 21 earnings calls, and now a July SEC filing — repeating the same date to the audiences he's legally accountable to. Combined with live pre-orders, a completed age rating, and pre-loading scheduled for November 12, every official signal points one direction: November 19 is happening.
